STEAK & ICE

Steak & Ice is a fast casual restaurant in Washington DC created by Taylor Charles Group. Serving primarily cheesesteaks & water ice, the interior was inspired by the walk-up cheesesteak stands that line the streets of Philadelphia and aimed to recreate the feeling of the street in the interior space. As part of the original design, No Kings Collective created a 40ft ceiling mural with 3D installation pieces. These pieces were weathered to created the illusion that the restaurant was built around the mural further supporting the connection between interior and exterior.
